SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Taninthayi Region, Southern Shan and Mon States, fairly widespread in Yangon Region, Kachin, Northern Shan and Kayin States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Mandalay Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.83) inches in Myeik, (2.54) inches in Shan-Ywar-Thit, (2.36) inches in Bago, (1.94) inches in Taungtha(Agro), (1.89) inches in Kungyangon, (1.57) inches in Myitsone, (1.54) inches in Kyeikkhame, (1.50) inches in kyaukmae, (1.38) inches each in Thabeikkyin and Kawthaung.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak over the East central Bay of Bengal. Weather is  partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 05th June, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Mon State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Shan (North and South) and Kayin States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Eastern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along  Mon- Taninthayi Coasts and slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6 - 8)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon- Taninthayi Coasts and about (4 - 6)feet in off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of moderate to strong mosoon over the Andaman Sea and South Bay.
