SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers has been isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Bago Regions, Eastern Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw and Mandalay Region. Day temperatures were (3°C) above May average temperature in Taninthayi Region, (2°C) above May average temperatures in Ayeyarwady Region, Southern Shan and Kayah States and about May average temperatures in the remaining regions and states. The significant day temperatures were (40°C) in Chauk and (38°C) each in Magway and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.64) inches in Thaton, (2.41) inches in Tharrawady, (2.26) inches in Madaya(Agro), (2.08) inches in Kawthaung, (1.97) inches in Seiktha, (1.89) inches in Kalewa, (1.86) inches in Yangon(Kaba-aye), (1.77) inches in Naypyitaw(Dekkhina Thiri), (1.69) inches in Hmawbi(Agro- Met), (1.62) inches each in Katha and Khayan and (1.57) inches in Kungyangon.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea, South Bay and East central Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 02nd June, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region, Rakhine and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Eastern Shan, Chin and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay Region. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 7)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Weak to moderate monsoon over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal.
