SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Chin State, rain or thundershowers has been isolated in Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Region and Rakhine State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay and Ayeyarwady Regions and isolated heavyfalls in Bago Region and Rakhine State. Day temperatures were (3°C) above May average temperature in Kayin State, (2°C)above May average temperatures in Yangon and Taninthayi Regions and Mon State, (3°C) to (4°C) below May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kachin, Northern Shan and Chin States and (5°C) below May average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region and about May average temperatures in the remaining regions and states.The significant day temperatures were (38°C) in Bawlakhae, (37°C) in Myawaddy and (36°C) each in Ann, Pyay, Shwekyin, Hmawbi and Ngathaichaung. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (5.36) inches in Pathein, (4.25) inches in Patheingyi (Agro), (3.66) inches in Pyinoolwin, (3.19) inches in Mattaya(Agro), (3.18) inches in Tharrawady, (3.15) inches in Ngathaichaung, (3.03) inches in Manaung, (2.93) inches in Shan-Ywar-Thit, (2.79) inches in Thaton and (2.64) inches in Hmawbi.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th May, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Chin and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions. STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 7)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
