SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers has been scattered in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, fairly widespread in Kayin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Chin State. Day temperatures were (5°C) above May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago Region and Eastern Shan State, (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and (4°C) below May average temperature in Chin State, (5°C) below May average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin States and about May average temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State. The significant day temperatures were (41°C) each in Chauk and Bawlakhae and (40°C) each in Myingyan, Nyaung Oo, Yamethin, Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri), Minbu, Magway, Aunglan, Sinbyugyun, Nyaunglaybin and Gyobingauk. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (4.21) inches in Ramthlo, (3.07) inches in Matupi, (2.83) inches each in Hakha and Ann, (2.80) inches in Falam, (2.32) inches in Kyauktaw, (2.28) inches each in Tiddim and Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri), (2.17) inches each in Vaar and Wundwin(Agro), (2.12) inches in Meiktila, (2.05) inches each in Tongzan and Maungdaw and (1.97) inches in Moemate.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud over the Westcentral Bay and partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th May, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago and Yangon Regions, Eastern Shan and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin State. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 7)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
