BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 22nd May, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Northern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States and scattered in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Rakhine Coasts and about (5-7) feet , Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of likelihood of thundery activities in Deltaic areas.
