BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (18:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Super Cyclonic Storm (AMPHAN) over the West Central Bay and adjoining South Bay of Bangal has moved North-Northeast wards and over a West Central Bay of Bengal. It is centered at about (370)Nautical miles South of Paradip(Odisha-India), about (450) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Digha(india), about (520) Nautical miles Southwest of Khepupara (Bangladesh), about (405)Nautical miles West of Coco-Island and about (510) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Pathein (Myanmar). Weather is cloudy over the South Bay and West Central Bay and partly cloudy and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 19th May, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine and Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Southern Shan, Chin, Kayah and Kayin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Deltaic, Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8-12) feet off and along Deltaic, Rakhine Coasts. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely attime off and along Gulf of Mottama, Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet off and along Gulf of Mottama, Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
