SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers has been widespresd in Eastern Shan State, scattered in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State and isolated in Bago Region, Kayin and Mon States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) above May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Region, Shan (North and South) and Kayah States, (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Eastern Shan, Kayin and Mon States and (2°C) above May average temperatures in Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States. The significant day temperatures were (48°C) in Chauk, (44°C) each in Monywa, Myinmu, Myingyan, Nyaung Oo, Magway, Aunglan and Taungdwingyi and (43°C)each in Kyemone, Minbu, Gangaw, Pauk, Sinbyugyun, Taunggu and Gyobingauk. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (1.02) inches in Minesat, (0.99) inch in Kawthaung, (0.32) inch in Kengtung, (0.30) inch in kya-In-Seikkyi, (0.28) inch in Payathonsu and (0.20) inch in Putao.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th May, 2020: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be scattered in Taninthayi Region and  isolated in Kachin, Shan (South and East), Kayah, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Shan (South and East), Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.
