SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in Kachin and Chin States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Northern Shan State, isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Southern Shan State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) above May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Mon State, (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Shan and Kayah States and (2°C) above May average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region, Rakhine State and about May average temperature in Chin and Kayin States. The significant day temperatures were (46°C) in Chauk, (44°C) in Nyaung Oo and (43°C)each in Monywa, Yeu, Myinmu, Myingyan, Magway, Taungdwingyi and Taunggu. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.94) inch in Kalewa, (0.71) inch in Mawlaik, (0.67) inch in Paung Byin, (0.55) inch in Kalay, (0.49) inch in Htilin, (0.47) inch in Mogaung, (0.43) inch each in Katha, Tatkon and Magway and (0.39) inch in Mingin.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the South Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 08th May, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Chin States and isolated in Taninthayi Region, Northern Shan, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Chin, Kayin and Mon States.
