SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers has been isolated in Magway Region, Kachin and Northern Shan States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Shan, Kayin and Mon States and (2°C) above May average temperatures in Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kachin, Rakhine and Kayah States and about May average temperature in Chin State. The significant day temperatures were (46°C) in Chauk, (43°C) in Magway and (42°C) each in Monywa, Myinmu, Minbu, Aunglan, Pakokku, Taungdwingyi, Sinbyugyun, Taunggu, Tharrawady, Nyaunglaybin, Gyobingauk and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.12) inch in Myintson and (0.10) inch each in Kyaukhtu.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal has become less marked.Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 07th May, 2020: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and isolated in Lower Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Northern Shan, Chin, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States.
