SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Sagaing Region and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Chin State, scattered in Mandalay Region and Northern Shan State and isolated in Eastern Shan State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and (2°C) above April average temperatures in Mandalay and Magway Regions and (3°C) below April average temperature in Chin State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (45°C) in Chauk, (44°C) each in Taungdwingyi, Taunggu and Bawlakhae and (43°C) each in Monywa, Yamethin, Minbu, Magway, Aunglan, Pyay and Gyobingauk. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.71) inch in Monyin, (0.59) inch in Ramthlo, (0.43) inch each in Shwegu and Pinlaebu, (0.39) inch each in Tongzan and Kalay, (0.35) inch in Mawlaik and (0.28) inch each in Falam, Tiddim and Katha.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Central Bay and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rd April, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Chin States, scattered in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Northern Shan State and isolated in Magway and Taninthayi Regions, (Southern and Eastern)Shan and Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-5) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Sagaing Region, Kachin, Northern Shan and Chin States.
