SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, Weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin State and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (5°C) to (6°C) below January average temperatures in Ayeyarwady Region, Eastern Shan and Kayin States, (3°C) to (4°C) below January average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin, Kayah and Mon States and (2°C) below January average temperature in Southern Shan State and normal January average temperature in Rakhine State. The significant night temperatures were (-3°C) in Hakha, (0°C) in Namsam, (1°C) each in Heho and Mongyang, (2°C) each in Putao, Pinlaung, Tiddim, Pyinoolwin and Mogoke and (3°C) each in Thipaw, Lashio, Kengtung and Mingin.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the South Bay and generally fair over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th January, 2020: Light rain are likely to be isolated in Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Northern Shan State and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-7) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast and about (4-6) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Decrease of night temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago and Yangon Regions, Shan, Kayah and Kayin States.
