SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, light rain has been isolated in Kachin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Southern Shan and Chin States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) below January average temperature in Eastern Shan State, (2°C) below January average temperature in Kayah State, (2°C) above January average temperature in Mon State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (1°C) in Namsam, (2°C) in Heho, (3°C) in Pinlaung, (4°C) each in Mongyang and Mogoke, (5°C) in Hakha and (6°C) each in Thipaw, Lashio, Kyaukmae, Kengtung, Pyinoolwin and Loikaw.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24th January, 2020: Rain will be isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Shan and Chin State and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

 STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-6) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Slight decrease of night temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Shan States.
