SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Eastern Shan and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (4°C) below January average temperature in Eastern Shan State, (2°C) above January average temperature in Lower Sagaing Region and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (2°C) in Hakha, (3°C) each in Namsam, Heho, Mongyang and Mogoke, (4°C) in Pinlaung, (5°C) in Loilin and (6°C) each in Kyaukmae, Kengtung, Tiddim, Tongzan and Pyinoolwin.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay and East Centrl Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th January, 2020: Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-6) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Generally fair weather in the whole country.
