SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Eastern Shan, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below January average temperature in Eastern Shan State, (2°C) above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw and Kayin State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (0°C) in Hakha, (2°C) in Namsam, (3°C) each in Heho and Mongyang, (5°C) each in Pinlaung and Mogoke and (6°C) each in Loilin, Kengtung, Tiddim, Tongzan and Mingin.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th January, 2020: Light rain are likely to be isolated in Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-6) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Shan State.
