SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain have been fairly widespread in Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Chin State, scattered in Kachin and Northern Shan States and isolated in Magway Region and Rakhine State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below December average temperature in Yangon Region, (2°C) above December average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kayah State, (3°C) to (4°C) above December average temperatures Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Northern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States and (5°C) above December average temperature in Southern Shan State and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (4°C) in Putao, (5°C) in Hakha and (7°C) in Tongzan. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Mindat, Tiddim, Matupi and Nyaung Oo (0.08)inch each and Falam, Tongzan, Mawlaik, Tamu, Myingyan, Tada U, Pauk and Myauk U (0.04)inch each.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th December, 2019: Rain will be fairly widespread in Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kachin, Northern Shan and Chin States, scattered in Magway Region, Rakhine State and isolated in Naypyitaw and Bago Region, (Southern and Eastern)Shan and Kayah States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5 – 8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Rain will be isolated in Shan and Kayah States.

WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR WEEKEND: Rain will be isolated in Naypyitaw and Mandalay Region and Weather will be partly in Yangon Region.
