SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, Chin, Kayin and Mon States, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Taninthayi Region and (Northern and Eastern) Shan State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Magway Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Saw (1.60)inches, Pyinoolwin (1.38)inches, Ngathaichaung (0.87) inch, Meiktila and Hainggyigyun (0.75)inch each, Namsam (0.59)inch, Taunggu (0.51)inch and Naypyitaw (Zayarthiri) (0.47) inch.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (11:30)hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over the Southwest Bay and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud over the North and East Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rd October, 2019: Weather will be partly cloudy in Kayin and Mon States. Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, scattered in Taninthayi Region and Southern Shan State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4–6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered rain or thundershowers in Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kachin and Shan States.
