SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Northern Shan State, scattered in Mandalay Region, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and Taninthayi Region, Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls  in Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Theinzayet  (6.77)inches, Yay (4.33)inches,  Paung (4.29)inches, Thandwe (4.21)inches, Thaton (4.14)inches, Sittwe (3.74)inches, Dawei (3.59)inches, Belin (3.58)inches, Ngathaichaung (3.39)inches, Kamamaung (3.34) inches, Gwa (3.19)inches, Kataingti (3.08)inches, Phyarpon (2.79)inches and Launglon (2.76)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and  Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 07th September, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, scattered in Mandalay Region and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Bago Region, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9 –13) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:  Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
