SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been partly cloudy in Eastern Shan and Kayah States, isolated in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, scattered in Magway Region and Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfall  in Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine and Kayin States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Gwa (7.87)inches, Yay (6.97)inches,  Mawlamyine (6.26)inches, Paung (5.51)inches, Chaungsone (4.45) inches, Kawkareik (4.29)inches, Kyeikmayaw (3.74)inches, Hainggyigyun (3.54)inches, Theinzayet (3.50)inches, Kyeikkhame (3.43)inches, Belin (3.31)inches, Mudon (3.27)inches and Kawthaung (3.03)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Northweast Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Odisha-West Bengal Coasts (India) has crossed Odisha Coast (India). Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and  Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 06th September, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Eastern Shan and Kayah States, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady  and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9 –13) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:  Continuation of increase of rain in Kayin and Mon State.
