BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 20th July, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, Kachin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady Region, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Bago and Yangon Regions, Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8 – 10) feet off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (4-7) feet in Delatic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along in Rakhine Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Kachin State.
