SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in (Northern and Eastern) Shan and Chin States. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) above May normal temperatures in Shan and Kayah States, (3°C) to (4°C) above May normal temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions, Chin, Kayin and Mon States, (2°C) above May normal temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Rakhine State, (4°C) below May normal temperature in Kachin State and about May normal temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (44°C) each in Chauk and Magway, (43°C) each in Myingyan, Gangaw and Pauk. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Phyarpon (1.92) inches, Putao (1.73)inches, Kawkareik (1.46)inches,  Belin (0.83)inch, Kawthaung (0.79)inch, Yangon(Kaba-Aye) (0.75)inch and Machanbaw and Paung (0.47) inch each.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm "FANI" over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northeastwards and it is centered at about (230)miles South-Southwest of Puri, (115)miles South- Southeast of Vishakhapatnam(India) and (365)miles South-Southwest of Digha(India). It is forecast to move North-Northeastwards. Weather is cloudy over the West central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 3rd May, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Region, Kachin, Shan and Chin States, scattered in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40-45)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (10-13) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered to fairly widespread in Upper Sagiang and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States.
