BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (18:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Very Severe Cyclonic Storm "FANI" over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining west central  Bay of Bengal has moved Northwards. It is centered at about (295)miles East of Chennai (India), (310)miles Southeast of Machilipatnam and (305)miles Southeast of Vishakhapatnam. It is forecast to move Northwestwards. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 1st May, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin State and isolated in Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan, Chin and Rakhine States with isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon- Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate to rough elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (10-12) feet Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon- Taninthayi Coasts and about (6-9) feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of likelihood of rain or thundershowers in Lower Myanmar areas.
