SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Mon State. Weather has been generally fair in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Northern Shan State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above February average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin State, (3°C) to (4°C) above February average temperatures in Kayin and Mon States and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (5°C) in Hakha, (6°C) each in Thipaw and Heho and (7°C) each in Namsam and Loilin. The noteworthy amount of rainfalls recorded were Yay (0.90)inch, Launglon (0.24)inch and Dawei (0.16)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over West central Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th February, 2019: Rain will be scattered in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Chin and Mon States and isolated in Bago Region, Shan, Rakhine, Kayah and Kayin States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-5) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Upper Myanmar areas.
