SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Kachin State, isolated in Northern Shan State and weather has been partly cloudy in Sagaing Region, (Eastern and Southern) Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (2°C) above March average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Chin State, (4°C) below March average temperature in Kayin State and (2°C) below March average temperature in Eastern Shan State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) in Chauk, (40°C) each Mingin, Monywa, Myingyan, Nyaung Oo and Gangaw. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Dawei (0.47)inch, Kawthaung (0.19)inch and Putao (0.12)inch.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay and West Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th MARCH, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Kachin State, isolated in Upper Sagaing Region, (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (80%). Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Kayah State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5)feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Slight increase of day temperatures in Central Myanmar areas.
