Bay of Bengal situation

1. Three low pressure areas in the Bay of Bengal and two may intensify into a Depression. The southwest monsoon is likely to withdraw from northern Myanmar areas during 14^th -19^th September, from central Myanmar areas during 20^th -25^th September and from the deltaic areas during 26^th September -1^st October, 2026. The southwest monsoon is likely to be moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Rain conditions and rainy days

2. Rainfall conditions are expected to be above normal in Nay Pyi Taw, Mandalay Region and Kayah, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States and about normal in Yangon, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Tanintharyi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine and Northern Shan States.  

3. Rainy days will be expected about (21 to 25) days in Yangon, East Bago, Ayeyarwaddy, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States, about (16 to 20) days in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, West Bago, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Chin, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States and about (11 to 15) days in  Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Northern Shan States.
