SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay and Lower Sagaing Regions, scattered in  Magway, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Nothern Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago Regions and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.93 inches in Kyeikkhame, 3.82 inches in Thaton, 3.50 inches in Belin, 3.43 inches in Bago, 3.06 inches in Thandaunggyi, 3.03 inches in Dedaye, 2.52 inches in Madauk, 2.44 inches in Dawei, 2.36 inches in Naypyitaw (Ottarathiri) and 2.28 inches in Phyarpon.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the westcentral and South Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 2nd August 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Chin, Rakhine, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts. 

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Northern and Eastern Shan States.
