BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th July 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions, fairly widespread in Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region and Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Eastern Shan States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin,Chin, Rakhine, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States.
