SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in in Mandalay Region, scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions, fairly widespread in Kachin, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.67 inches in Labutta, 2.95 inches in Mingin, 2.68 inches in Manaung, 2.56 inches each in Mawlaik and Mawlamyinegyun, 2.36 inches each in Coco Island and Myaungmya, 2.28 inches in Hainggyigyun, 2.21 inches in Kalewa, 2.09 inches in Kawthaung, 2.05 inches each in Hsipaw and Lashio and 2.01 inches each in Magway and Dawei. 

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, a low pressure area has formed over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Odisha-West Bengal Coast. It is likely to become more marked. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the  Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 3rdJuly 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 30-35 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States.
