SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Mandalay Region and Chin, Eastern Shan States, fairly widespread in Magway, Taninthayi Regions and (Northern and Southern)Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Mon State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 4.53 inches in Paung, 4.21 inches in Mawlamyinegyun, 3.86 inches in Hainggyigyun, 3.74 inches in Chaungsone, 3.50 inches in Dedaye, 3.31 inches in Labutta, 3.14 inches in Kyeikmayaw, 3.03 inches in Wakema, 3.00 inches Bogale and 2.92 inches in Hinthada. 

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 15thJune 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah State, scattered in Mandalay Region and Eastern Shan State, fairly widespread in Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, (Northern and Southern)Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet in off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate to strong monsoon.
