SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kayah State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Upper Saging Region and Mon State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 4.02 inches in Kalewa, 3.04 inches in Belin, 2.95 inches in Chaungsone, 2.68 inches in Homalin, 2.64 inches in Mawlamyine, 2.60 inches in Phyu, 2.52 inches in Hlegu, 2.48 inches in Shwekyin, 2.40 inches in Thaton and 2.25 inches in Mawlaik. 

BAY INFERENCEMonsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13thJune 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, (Northern and Eastern) Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts..
