SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Magway Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kayah, Chin  States, scattered in Bago, Sagaing Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, Eastern Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Ayeyarwady Regions and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Ayeyarwady Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.94 inches in Kyaunggon, 2.63 inches in Kawthaung, 2.28 inches each in Kungyangon and Phyarpon, 2.09 inches in Pathein, 2.01 inches each in Mandalay and Myeik, 1.77 inches in Dedaye, 1.70 inches in Pyinoolwin, 1.45 inches in Tatkon and 1.25 inches in Kyeiklat

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea, South Bay, Eastcentral Bay and Northeast Bay of Bengal.  Weather iscloudy over the Andaman Sea, Eastcentral Bay and Southeast Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 4thJune 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago Regions and Kayah, Chin, Eastern Shan States, fairly widespread in Yangon, Lower Sagaing, AyeyarwadyRegions and Rakhine State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
