SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Chin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States. Rain or thundershowers has been isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah, Northern Shan States, scattered in Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in Bago Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region. Day temperatures 2°C above May average temperature in Kayin State and 2°C below May average temperatures in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway Regions and Rakhine, Southern Shan States, 3°C to 4°C below May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady Region and Kayah State and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 39.0°C in Monywa, 38.9°C in Kawkareik, 38.6°C in Gangaw, 38.3°C in Chauk, 38.2°C in Myingyan, 38.0°C each in Nyaung Oo, Sinbyugyun and Myinmu and 37.0°C each in Nyaunglaybin and Magway on 13-5-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.15 inches in Paung Byin, 2.36 inches in Dawei, 2.28 inches in Paung, 2.26 inches in Pantanaw, 2.24 inches each in Zalun and Shwegu, 2.20 inches in Einme, 2.13 inches in Hpa-an, 2.06 inches in Nyaungdon, 2.01 inches in Kawkareik and 1.97 inches in Kyaunggon.

BAY INFERENCE: : According to the observations at 13:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay of Bengal ‌and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 15th May 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Sagaing Region and  Kayah, Chin, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Rakhine, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
