SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kayin State, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and (Southern and Eastern)Shan State, scattered in Kayah, Mon, Northern Shan States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Sagaing Regions and Kachin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 4°C above March average temperature in Kachin State, 2°C above March average temperatures in Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States and 5°C to 6°C below March average temperatures in Kayah, Eastern Shan States and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 42.0°C in Minbu, 40.4°C in Chauk, 40.2°C in Magway, 39.5°C each in Myinmu and Ngathaichaung, 39.2°C in Myingyan, 39.0°C each in Kyaukse(Lunkyaw) and Sinbyugyun and 38.8°C each in Aunglan and Hpa-an(Agro-Met) on 11-3-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.09 inches in Myeik, 1.77 inches in Ye, 1.18 inches in Chaungsone, 0.79 inch in Loilin, 0.71 inch each in Kyeikkhame and Namsan(Southern Shan), 0.63 inch in Shwekyin, 0.59 inch each in Myawaddy and Naungcho, 0.51 inch in Hpa-an(Agro-Met) and 0.43 inch in Thaton.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13th March 2026: Weather will be partly cloudy in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions. Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Regiona and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Shan States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 80%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 3-5 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of rain or thundershowers with isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
