SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Chin,  Northern Shan States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 6°C below January average temperature in Taninthayi Region, 3°C to 4°C below January average temperatures in Kayah, Kayin States, 2°C below January average temperatures in Bago Region and Mon, (Northern and Southern)Shan States and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 2.2°C in Namsan(Southern Shan), 2.4°C each in Hakha and Heho, 3.2°C in Loilin, 4.0°C in Pinlaung, 4.3°C in Tiddim, 5.3°C in Putao, 5.5°C in Hsipaw, 6.1°C in Lashio, 6.5°C in Mongyang and 6.7°C in Naungcho. 

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal(off Northeast Sri Lanka Coast) has moved West-Northwestwards and starts crossing North Sri Lanka coast between Trincomalee and Jaffna as a land depression. It is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards. Weather is cloudy over the Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11th January 2026: Light rain are likely to be isolated in Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Yangon,Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts. 

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
