SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, scattered in Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Rakhine, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with Isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.30 inches in Danubyu, 3.23 inches in Zalun, 3.11 inches in Kungyangon, 2.92 inches in Kangyidaunt, 2.83 inches in Hinthada, 2.66 inches in Ingapu, 2.52 inches in Pathein, 2.44 inches in Meiktila, 2.23 inches in Ngazun and 1.21 inches in Taungtha.

.BAYINFERENCE:  Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, a Typhoon “RAGASA” over Philippines sea has moved West-Northwestwards and still persists. It is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22ndSeptember 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Rakhine, Eastern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing Yangon, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along Rakhine Coast. 

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
