SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Rakhine, Northern Shan States, scattered in Yangon Region and Kachin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Magway, Sagaing Regions and Kayin, Mon, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with Isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 6.50 inches in Dawei, 2.83 inches in Ye, 2.76 inches in Aunglan, 2.42 inches in Myittha, 1.61 inches in Monywa, 1.46 inches in Kawthaung, 1.38 inches in Myeik, 1.34 inches in Einme, 1.30 inches each in Thayat and Theinzayet and 1.20 inches in Patheingyi(Shwesayan).

.BAYINFERENCE:  Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st September 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Sagaing Region and Kachin, Rakhine, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Mon, Northern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squalls with rough to very rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35-40 mph. Wave height will be about 10-13 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along Rakhine Coast. 

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
