SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah State, scattered in Magway, Upper Sagaing Regions and Chin, (Northern and Southern)Shan States, fairly widespread in Yangon, Bago Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.91 inches in Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri), 2.72 inches in Naypyitaw(Pobbathiri), 2.60 inches in Sittwe, 2.48 inches in Naypyitaw(Ottarathiri), 2.28 inches in Machanbaw, 2.17 inches in Hkamti, 2.01 inches in Naypyitaw(Zabuthiri), 1.81 inches in Pyinmana, 1.65 inches in Dawei and 1.49 inches in Myawaddy.

BAYINFERENCE:  Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 1st August 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Chin States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Bago, Upper Sagaing Regions and (Nouthern and Eastern)Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Mon, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
