SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather have been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and Rakhine State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Northern Shan States, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions, fairly widespread in Bago Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Magway Regions. Day temperatures were 2°C above May average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Kayin State, 2°C below May average temperature in Yangon Region and Rakhine, Northern Shan States, 3°C to 4°C below May average temperatures in Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Southern Shan State, 5°C to 6°C below May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Kayah, Chin, Eastern Shan States and 7°C to 8°C below May average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions  and about May average temperatures in Kachin, Mon States. The significant day temperatures were 40.0°C in Nyaunglaybin, 38.9°C in Kawkareik, 38.6°C in Hpa-an(Agro-Met), 38.3°C in Hpa-an, 37.3°C in Belin, 37.0°C each in Dawei and Myawaddy, 36.7°C each in Bago, Mawlamyine and 36.0°C in Ye on 2-5-2025. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 4.76 inches in Hmawbi, 2.65 inches in Nyaungdon, 2.32 inches in Yangon(Botahtaung), 2.10 inches in Dedaye, 1.61 inches in Magway, 1.42 inches in Myeik, 1.30 inches in Yangon(Kabaaye), 1.22 inches each in Pyinoolwin and Kyaunggon, 1.02 inches in Myaungmya and 1.00 inches in Thabaung.

BAYINFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Wastcentral Bay of Bengal and partly to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 4th May 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Rakhine State, scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Kayin, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States.
