SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather have been partly cloudy in Chin, Rakhine States. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Yangon Region and Kayin, Mon States, scattered in Mandalay, Sagaing Regions and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Northern and Eastern)Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The highest day temperatures were 36.6°C in Sagaing, 35.6°C in Aunglan, 35.5°C in Yangon(Kaba-Aye), 35.4°C each in Tatkon and Chauk, 35.1°C in Kawkareik and 35.0°C each in Kungyangon, Naung Oo, Shwekyin, Phyu, Shwebo, Belin and Manaung on 14-10-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 1.96 inches in Laihka, 1.69 inches in Mawlamyinegyun, 1.65 inches in Taunggyi, 1.26 inches in Pyinoolwin, 1.22 inches in Zalun, 1.14 inches in Aunglan, 1.06 inches in Loikaw, 1.00 inches in Bogale, 0.94 inch in Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri) and 0.83 inch in Theinzayet.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. 

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th October 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Southern State, fairly widespread in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States, scattered in Magway Region and Chin, Rakhine States, and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Southern Shan State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.  

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of fairly widespread to widespread rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
