SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Southern Shan State, scattered in Bago Region, isolated in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon Stats and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. The highest day temperatures were 38.6°C in Chauk, 37.2°C in Sagaing, 37.0°C in Kyaukse(Lunkyaw), 36.8°C each in Magway and Belin, 36.6°C in Hpa-an(Agro), 36.5°C each  in Minbu, Pakokku and Sinbyugyun and 36.4°C each in Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri) and Pyay on 9-10-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.63 inch in Ye, 0.52 inch in Thandaunggyi, 0.50 inch in Mingin, 0.40 inch in Coco Island, 0.32 inch each in Shwekyin and Kalewa, 0.27 inch in Dedaye, 0.24 inch each in Kyauktan and Pinlaung, 0.16 inch in Paung Byin and 0.12 inch in Pindaya.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11th October 2026: Weather will be partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Rakhine, Eastern Shan States. Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 80%.  

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Mandalay, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena. 

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered rain or thundershower in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Shan States.
