7-9-2026:Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea, Northwest Bay, Westcentral Bay and Southwest Bay of Bengal and cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

El Niño Conditions News

Based on evaluations from the World Meteorological Organization and international climate centers, sea surface temperatures and atmospheric dynamics across the equatorial Tropical Pacific Ocean indicate may reach strong to very strong El Niño condition during September and very strong El Niño conditions is likely at the end of 2026.
Although El Niño is a phenomenon that occurs in the Pacific Ocean, its impacts can generally lead to irregular rainfall patterns, higher day temperatures, abnormal storm activity, drought and other extreme weather events in the upcoming summer season.
Therefore, all relevant sectors are kindly requested to take necessary precautionary measures in advance.
