SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Magway Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kayah State, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Northern Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.52 inches in Pyinmana(Walgi), 2.40 inches in Kungyangon, 2.24 inches in Kyeikkhame, 2.17 inches in Shan-Ywar-Thit, 2.01 inches in Laiway, 1.97 inches in Mongyang and 1.38 inches each in Pyinmana, Taunggu and Chaungsone.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 2nd October 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing Region and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-8 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
