SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, southwest monsoon has been withdrawn from the whole country. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Eastern Shan State, scattered in Kayah State, isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions with regionally heavyfalls in Kayin State and isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (3.70) inches in Hpa-an, (3.23) inches in Dawei, (2.64) inches in Launglon, (2.30) inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi, (1.50) inches in Belin, (1.22) inches in Htilin, (1.00) inches in Paing Kyone, (0.96) inch in Kyeikdon, (0.91) inch in Hlaingbwe and (0.83) inch in Paung.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th October 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Eastern Shan, Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Yangon Region and Kayah State, scattered in Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Southern Shan, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (100%). Weather has been partly cloudy the remaining Regions and States.

 

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
