BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area may form over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea around (8.5.2023). It is likely to intensify into a Depression around (9.5.2023) then continue to move Northwards and intensify into a Cyclonic Storm over the Central Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Andaman Sea around (10.5.2023). Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea, South Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 08th May, 2023: Weather will be partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions. Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Southern Shan State, scattered in Eastern Shan State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
The Condition of Cumulonimbus Cloud: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing over the Magway, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and (Southern and Eastern) Shan and Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
