SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Taninthayi Region and Mon State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) above May average temperature in Bago Region, (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States, (2°C) above May average temperatures in Rakhine State and about normal average temperature in Chin State. The significant day temperatures were (45°C) in Chauk, (44°C) in Bawlakhae and (43°C) each in Nyaung Oo, Minbu, Magway, Aunglan, Sinbyugyun and Zaung Tu. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (0.08) inch in Mudon and (0.04) inch in Launglon.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30) hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area may form over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea around (8.5.2023). It is likely to intensify into a Depression around (9.5.2023) then continue to move Northwards and intensify into a Cyclonic Storm over the Central Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Andaman Sea around (10.5.2023). Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea, South Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 08th May, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rahkine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions.

The Condition of Cumulonimbus Cloud: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing over the Southern Shan and Kayah States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
