SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and (Northern and Southern)Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw and Kachin State and isolated in Magway Region and Eastern Shan, Chin, Rakhine States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above April average temperatures in Sagaing Region and (Southern and Eastern)Shan State, (2°C) above April average temperatures in Mandalay Region and Chin State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (43°C) each in Yeu, Myinmu, Myingyan and Chauk. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (1.69) inches in Moemate, (1.02) inches in Thazi(Hlaingtat), (0.86) inch in Laiway, (0.79) inch each in Taunggyi and Pinlaung, (0.59) inch each in Loilin and Hakha and (0.55) inch in Mogoke.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rd April, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, (Northern and Southern)Shan States, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Eastern Shan State and isolated in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States.
