SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, light rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay Region. Weather has been generally fair in Lower Sagaing Region and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.Day temperatures were (5°C) to (6°C) above April average temperatures in Upper SagaingRegion and Kachin State, (3°C) to (4°C) above April average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Shan,Chin, Kayah States, (2°C) above April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regionsand Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and about April average temperatures in Yangon Region. The significant day temperatures were (45°C) in Chauk and (44°C) each in Kalewa, Tamu, Mingin, Monywa, Myinmu, Mandalay, Myingyan, NyaungOo, Bawlakhae and Hpasaung.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay and Central Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 20th April, 2023: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
