SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin, (Northern and Southern)Shan States and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kayah State. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Region and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (7°C) above April average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region, (5°C) above April average temperature in Northern Shan State, (3°C) to (4°C) above April average temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Chin States, (2°C) above April average temperatures in Mandalay Region and Southern Shan State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (44°C) each in Kalewa and Nyaung Oo and (43°C) each in Kalay, Tamu, Mingin, Monywa, Myinmu, Myingyan, Chauk and Pakokku. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (1.57) inches in Mogoke, (0.51) inch in Thipaw, (0.16) inch in Myitkyina, (0.12) inch in Taunggyi and (0.08) inch in Kyaukmae.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th April, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
