SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State and scattered in Mandalay Region and (Southern and Eastern) Shan and isolated in Magway, Bago Regions and Northern Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) above March average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Mon State, (3°C) to (4°C) above March average temperatures in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin State and (2°C) above March average temperature in Eastern Shan State and (2°C) below March average temperatures in Magway Region and Kachin State, (3°C) below March average temperature in Lower Sagaing Region, (7°C) below March average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region and (10°C) below March average temperature Chin State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (39°C) each in Shwekyin and Hpasaung. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (0.95) inch in Putao, (0.67) inch in Maungdaw, (0.59) inch in Machanbaw, (0.32) inch in Taunggu and (0.20) inch in Muse.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st March, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Southern Shan, Chin States, scattered in Mandalay Region and (Northern and Eastern) Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine States.
