SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Yangon Region and Northern Shan, Rakhine, Kayin States. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Naypyitaw, SouthernShan State, fairly widespread in Kayah State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan, Chin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States, (2°C) above March average temperatures in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and (2°C) belowMarch average temperature in Kachin State, (4°C) below March average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (40°C) in Chauk and (39°C) in Pyay. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (0.95) inch in Pathein, (0.71) inch in Ela, (0.59) inch in Pyinmana(Walgyi), (0.51) inch in Nyaung Shwe, (0.47) inch in Loikaw, (0.43) inch each in Loilin and Naypyitaw(Dekkhinathiri) and (0.24) inch each in Minesat and Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri).

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th March, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Mandalay Region and Kachin, Shan States, scattered in Sagaing Region and Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Magway, BagoRegions. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine States.
