SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Magway, Bago Regions and Southern Shan,  Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (5°C) below January average temperature in Chin State, (3°C) below January average temperature in Yangon Region and (2°C) above January average temperature in Naypyitaw and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-2°C) in Hakha, (2°C) each in Namsam and Tiddim, (3°C) each in Heho and Mongyang and (4°C) each in Kyaukmae and Loilin.

BAY INFERENCE:  Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th January, 2023: Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Kachin, (Northern and Southern)Shan, Kayah States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 19th January, 2023:           Generally fair weather.
